Francesca Pollet of Cleveland was born and raised in Italy, where the beauty of her surroundings and the rich cultural traditions of her homeland greatly influenced her early life. From a young age, she developed a fascination with language and communication, a passion that shaped her education and career. She earned her degree in foreign languages at the University of Venice, gaining a solid foundation in linguistic studies and cross-cultural understanding.
While at university, Francesca also worked as a swimming instructor and lifeguard, which helped her develop a sense of responsibility and discipline. These jobs provided her practical experience in managing tasks, leading groups, and adapting to different situations—skills that would prove valuable throughout her life. Her ability to balance academics with work laid the groundwork for her future success.
After completing her degree, Francesca sought new experiences by moving to Amsterdam, where she worked as an au pair. This opportunity allowed her to immerse herself in Dutch culture, improve her language skills, and better understand living and communicating in a foreign country. The experience reinforced her belief in the power of language as a bridge between cultures and expanded her perspective on the world.
Upon returning to Italy, Francesca entered the eyewear industry, starting as an account manager and advancing to sales manager. Her work involved understanding the product and the market and building and maintaining client relationships. Her natural communication skills and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds were crucial to her success in this field.
In time, Francesca’s personal life changed when she married her American husband and moved to California. In 2010, they welcomed their son into the world, a milestone that brought great joy and a renewed sense of purpose. She devoted herself to raising her family and became an active local community member, building lasting friendships and connections.
Throughout her life, Francesca has pursued her interests, including hiking, tennis, and reading. She also maintains her language skills, using Duolingo to stay fluent in English and keep up with her German, Spanish, and French proficiency.
After briefly re-entering the workforce between 2015 and 2017, Francesca paused her career to focus on her family. With her son now older, she is eager to return to professional life, bringing her diverse experience, linguistic abilities, and global perspective.
